About us

At SPARTANFX we follow the Colombian foreign exchange market every business day. Our job is to watch how the dollar moves against the peso, understand why, and explain it clearly so that anyone—individuals and businesses alike—can make better decisions.

Our mission

Understanding the dollar should not be a privilege reserved for experts. We turn market moves—the TRM, the spot rate, oil, interest rates—into useful information for anyone who buys, sells, imports, exports, travels or saves in dollars.

What we do

Market tracking

  • We publish the official TRM as soon as the Financial Superintendence certifies it.
  • We track, live, the currencies, oil, gold, indices and cryptocurrencies that influence the peso.
  • We compare today’s rate with key dates to show the trend, not just the number.

Analysis and context

  • We explain what moved the dollar during the session: central bank decisions, economic data, oil and investment flows.
  • We preview the week ahead with the events in Colombia and the United States that could move the rate.
  • We write daily wrap-ups and outlook notes in plain language.

How we work

  • Official sources first: the TRM comes from the Financial Superintendence of Colombia (datos.gov.co).
  • Every figure shows its source and the date it applies to.
  • We keep facts and analysis apart: data first, interpretation second.
  • If we make a mistake, we correct it and say so.
